ASEEM portal, as launched by the Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), developed by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) on 10th July, stands for Aatamanirbhar Skilled Employee-Employer Mapping which is artificial intelligence(AI) based portal which helps people in finding sustainable livelihood opportunities. ASEEM portal was established to provide employers with a platform to assess the availability of a skilled workforce and formulate their hiring plan mostly to bridge the demand and supply gap.

  • ASEEM portal was launched on 10th July 2020.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES BEHIND LAUNCHING ASEEM APP

The main objective behind ASEEM portal is supposed to be done to meet the demand-supply gap, mostly for the post COVID era. The plan was to bring back migrant workers from their employment regions, back to their hometown, and provide them with well-paying jobs. Whilst, employing local skilled workers in well-established companies, to optimize fair opportunities.

This initiative is mostly for the enhancement or acceleration in setting a path right for India’s recovery by mapping its way to connect skilled workforce to relevant livelihood opportunities especially post COVID era,which has set a huge dent in the Indian economy.

The basic structure of ASEEM portal is depended on formulating and providing real-time granular information by identifying the relevant skills provided which might meet the requirements of skills and employment prospects.
